What does "per tenant" mean?
A tenant is one API business: one developer portal, one set of customers, one pricing setup. Each tenant has its own plan, so you can run a side project on the free plan next to a production API on a paid one in the same workspace.
What is a tracked request?
A billable response your API reported to us, counted against your monthly allowance. You choose which status codes are billable (just 200 by default), so errors do not count against you or your customers.
Do you charge per transaction or take revenue share?
No. Customers pay you through your own Stripe account, and Stripe’s own fees are the only per-transaction cost. Our price is the flat monthly fee, whatever you earn.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Any time, from the tenant settings. Downgrades are checked first: if a tenant uses features the lower plan does not include, like a custom domain or extra developers, we list exactly what to remove before the switch.
What happens if I hit my request allowance?
We will not cut your API off mid-month. Tracked requests above the allowance mean it is time for the next plan, and we surface that in the dashboard before it becomes a problem.
Do my customers pay MicroAuth anything?
Never. Your customers only ever see and pay your prices. MicroAuth bills you, the API owner.
What if none of these plans fit?
Then we make one that does. We regularly create tailored plans with custom limits and pricing, assigned privately to a single workspace, so only you see them. Email hello@microauth.com with your expected traffic and team size and we will put a concrete offer together.
